The 17 member Board was confirmed last week at its annual meeting held in Washington, D.C. “The increase in size of the Board of Directors is a natural development considering we have more members than ever before”, said Filippo Nardin, President of the U.S.-Angola Chamber of Commerce. Chevron was elected as the Chair, Exxon Mobil as the Vice-Chair, BP as the Secretary, and Africare as the Treasury. Officers of the Board serve a three-year term. “Chevron has been a supporter of the Chamber and its activities for many years. I am honored that my fellow colleagues have put their confidence in us. I will rely highly on my Vice-Chair ExxonMobil who served diligently as Chair for the last three years”, said Sola Omole, Manager International Government Affairs at Chevron. New members of the Board include Accession International, Bechtel, Banco Fomento Angola (BFA) and S&N Pump. The Board also includes existing members: Africare, BakerHughes, Banco Africano de Investimentos (BAI), BP, Chevron, Citizens Energy, ExxonMobil, Goodworks International, Lazare Kaplan International, The Boeing Company, MITC, Prodiaman, and Samuels International.
