FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE U.S. hosts High-level Angolan Delegation Washington, D.C. – On September 27 to October 2, 2009, the Embassy of Angola in the United States, in association with the U.S.-Angola Chamber of Commerce (USACC), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angola and the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), is hosting the 2nd Reverse Trade Mission to the United States. The Angolan delegation comprised of over 100 participants includes representation from various sectors of the Angola private sector and members of the Angolan government. This marks the largest Angolan delegation to the United States. The trade mission begins with an opening reception hosted by the Ambassador Josefina Diakite, Angolan Ambassador to the United States, followed by two -day interdisciplinary conferences focused on increasing trade and investment between the United States and Angola. The delegation will then attend the U.S. - Africa Business Summit and concluded its mission with one-on-one meetings and company site visits. “The number of private sector Angolan companies participating in the mission far exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to linking these companies with potential U.S. partners and exposing the trade opportunities available”, said Maria da Cruz, Executive Director of the USACC.
